Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Email address — only if you subscribe to our newsletter (plus any name you choose to provide).
• Newsletter engagement — opens/clicks and basic delivery data, collected by our email provider to operate the list.

We run no third-party site analytics, no advertising trackers, and set no tracking cookies. We do not sell personal data. We do not collect financial account information; Hindcast does not process trades or payments at this stage. If a paid tier launches, this policy will be updated to cover the payment processor before any payment data is collected.

Why we collect it & legal basis

The lawful basis (GDPR Art. 6) for sending you the newsletter is your consent, given when you subscribe. You can withdraw it at any time by unsubscribing, with no effect on processing done before withdrawal.

Who we share it with

beehiiv, Inc. stores your email and sends the newsletter on our behalf, via its email-infrastructure providers (e.g. SendGrid). We share the minimum necessary for these services to function, and we do not sell or share (as defined under the CCPA/CPRA) your personal information.

Cookies

Hindcast sets no tracking cookies and uses no third-party analytics, so no cookie-consent banner is required. If we ever add cookie-based tracking, we will add a consent banner that blocks non-essential cookies until you opt in.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (e.g. EEA/UK under GDPR, California under CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your data, to object to or restrict processing, to withdraw consent, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To exercise any of these, email hello@hindcast.ai; you can also unsubscribe instantly using the link in any email. EEA/UK residents may lodge a complaint with their local supervisory authority.

Data retention & international transfers

We keep your email for as long as you remain subscribed; on unsubscribe, beehiiv retains a suppression record to honor your opt-out. Our processors may store data in the United States and other countries; where required for transfers out of the EEA/UK we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses and/or the EU-US / UK Data Privacy Framework, as implemented by our processors. We rely on the GDPR Article 27(2) exemption and have not appointed an Article 27 representative (a written assessment is on file).

Children

Hindcast is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
